Our Legacy
Shane
Shane was born and raised in Miami County. He grew up working with his father and uncles running equipment. He worked for many years through the union and in 2020 decided it was time to work for himself. His proudest accomplishment has been bringing his sons along for the ride, becoming Dennis and Sons Excavating, LLC.
Shane has been married to Sally for 30 years and together they have raised their 2 boys, Tyler and Seth. They recently welcomed their first granddaughter Juliet and are proud grandparents to that beautiful girl. After many years living in Peru, they finally purchased the home they always wanted just north of Denver, IN, where the family enjoys spending time outdoors.
Shane is local, loyal, hardworking, and proudly serving Miami County and surrounding counties with 35 years of experience.
Tyler was raised in Miami County by Shane and Sally Dennis. Growing up, Tyler and his brother Seth helped farmers and other landowners improve their land.
Tyler obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science and Sustainability from Indiana University. During this process, he completed an internship with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources pursuing invasive and habitat management. After some years in the workforce with the DNR, Tyler obtained a Master’s Degree in Earth & Quaternary Science from Indiana State University, where his research focused on how reclaimed mining sites affected soil micro-arthropod communities.
Tyler is married to Cayla Dennis. Together, they live in Montgomery County with a beautiful daughter, three dogs, and a cat.
